June Client of the Month 

Since starting on the programme Sonika has lost an very impressive 11.1kg.

She has dropped 3cm from her waist, 7cm from her ships and 7cm from her shoulders.

I’ve become fitter, stronger and even lost a little bit of weight.! I started running again, when after having children and back surgery thinking that it’s something I’ll never be able to do it again.

I feel like a different person full of new life and energy. Thank you to the BBG team especially to Ashley & Kris for all their support and encouragement.

Sonika was one of our weekly client highlights back in April after she ran her first 5k in 8 years in just 40 minutes as well as PB her barbell press of 42kg!!!

 


Why did you join the Better Body Programme?

I enjoy exercise but I don’t enjoy going to the gym, I did CrossFit for a while which I loved but got injured and was unable to do anything for for about a year.

I was looking for something different and found “The Better Body Program” Ijoined the program because it ticked all the boxes that would make it possible to reach my goal of loosing weight and becoming healthier and happy.

The studio was walking distance from my house, they offered classes after school drop off, the classes are 5 people maximum and the coaches are amazing.

What were your goals ?

My goals are to loose weight, become healthy and happy not just for myself but for my family. I’m not quite there yet weight wise but I’m on the right path and I’m definitely feeling happier and healthier

How were you supported during your time with BBG? 

The coaches are amazing. I often get over eager and like to push limits but for my own safety to avoid injuries, Kris would tell me where to slow down and points out if I’m doing a movement or exercise incorrect or when it needs adjusting.

They also do a monthly “Nutritional Challenge” which helped me a great deal. Before I started with TBBG, I had a terrible relationship with food, I did allot of comfort eating, mostly processed food and sugar.

That has all changed. I eat more protein, green veg and healthy fats. I don’t feel hungry anymore and I don’t feel the need to have chocolate or cake.

If I do have anything, I keep it small, don’t overindulge and dong beat myself up if i do have a treat. A big part of it is due to doing the nutritional challenge and following Ashley’s live videos with loads of good tips and advice.

When we first arranged to meet you said “I’m the tired looking mum at the back” How do you feel now?

I most definitely don’t feel that way anymore. I sleep better, I have more energy and I’m starting to get my confidence back.

What results have you had so far?

Since March, I’ve lost 11kg and I’m down 2 dress sizes. I also started running again, which is something I never thought I would be able to do again, I’m slowly building up to doing 10km.

What would you say to someone thinking of joining?

I would say ABSOLUTELY, don’t think about it, just do it! Best decision I’ve made so far this year.

You’ll walk out of each exercise class feeling amazing. I love it!
